What's New in VoxCut 1.3: Real-Time Preview, Presets, and 15 Languages

VoxCut has always had one goal: remove silences from your recordings quickly, without a subscription and without uploading your files anywhere. The 1.3 update keeps that focus but makes the whole process more visual and more predictable — you now see and hear exactly what you're going to get before you export a single file.

Here's what's new in this release, and why each change saves you time.

See the impact of every setting, in real time

This is the headline feature. As you drag any detection slider — noise threshold, minimum silence, voice margin — the preview now updates instantly: the after-waveform redraws and a live counter shows the exact percentage of time removed and the number of speech segments kept. No more guessing what a setting does and re-running the whole process to find out. You dial in the result you want and only then hit Start.

Hear it before you export

A built-in preview player lets you play the original and the trimmed version straight from the app. Trust your ears, not just the waveform — confirm the cuts sound natural before committing to an export.

One-click Auto setup

Not sure where to start? The new Auto button scans your file across several thresholds and picks a sensible starting point for you. Tweak from there if you like — or just run it.

Finer control over what stays

• Reduction (%) — instead of removing every silence completely, keep a portion of each pause so speech still breathes
• Max silence — cap how long any kept pause can be, so nothing drags
• Smooth crossfades — optional short fades between cuts for seamless, click-free transitions

Presets, so you never re-tune the same thing twice

Found the perfect settings for your interview mic or your gaming recordings? Save them as a named preset and reload them in one click. A reset button always brings you back to the defaults.

Smarter messages and 15 languages

When a file is almost entirely silent or has no detectable speech, VoxCut now tells you why and suggests what to change instead of returning an empty result. And the whole interface is now available in 15 languages, so the app speaks yours.

VoxCut 1.3 is a free update for existing users and is rolling out on the Microsoft Store and as a direct download for Windows. As always, everything runs 100% locally — your audio never leaves your machine.
